Know

Your Rights

Every eligible Arizona voter has the right to exercise their right to vote safely, securely, free from intimidation, and with assurance that their vote will be counted. Here's everything you need to know before, during, and after Election Day.

Your Safety Matters

ICE at the Polls

By law, immigration enforcement agents are not permitted to conduct operations at polling places. Knowing your rights can help you and your community vote without fear. Here’s what you need to know.

You have the right to vote

01

Every eligible U.S citizen has the right to cast a ballot freely, fairly, and accessibly.

You are protected at the polls

02

It is a federal crime for anyone to intimidate voters. Additionally, federal law prohibits the presence of armed federal agents at the polls.

You can report intimidation immediately

03

If you witness or experience any form of intimidation or interference at a polling place, including the presence of agents, call our hotline immediately. We’re here to help in real time.

Consider voting by mail

04

If time permits, you can sign up to get a ballot-by-mail for an upcoming election at least 11 days before Election Day.

Guide

If you see ICE or federal agents at a polling location, here's some guidance on what you should do and what to avoid.

What to Do

  • If you feel safe enough, discreetly take pictures or videos. Only then, take pictures or videos.

  • Note how many possible agents there were, what they were wearing, and any interactions you saw with voters.

  • You can even report anonymously. We are ready to help, but we can only respond to what we know about.

What Not to Do

  • Take a pause. Do not post suspicions or unverified information on social media. You could create unnecessary fear and scare your neighbors out of voting!

  • Your safety comes first. Do not engage, approach, speak to, engage, or provoke a law enforcement officer.

  • Witness if you feel safe. Swearing, overt filming, or hostile speech can put you and those around you in harm’s way.
